CURRENTLY SOMEWHERE BETWEEN CHAOS & CURTAIN CALL…

If you’ve ever watched a theatre production, you’ll know there is a magical moment just before the curtain rises.

The audience is waiting.
The lights are dimmed.
The cast know their lines.
And somewhere behind the curtain… there is absolute chaos.

Someone can’t find a shoe.
Someone else is fixing a costume with a safety pin.
A prop has gone missing.
Everyone is running in different directions, yet somehow, when that curtain opens, the audience only sees the magic.

I’ve realised that starting Fabled Life feels remarkably similar.

From the outside, it might look like a beautiful new website, carefully curated collections, pretty photographs and exciting announcements.

Behind the scenes?

It’s sticky notes covering every available surface. Twenty-seven browser tabs open. Learning words I never thought I’d need to know. Packaging arriving late. Courier accounts. Product descriptions. Last-minute website tweaks. Coffee that’s gone cold. Moments of self-doubt. Moments of complete exhilaration.

And somehow… all within the same hour.

There have been days where I’ve questioned whether I’m ready.

Days where one tiny technical hiccup has felt like the end of the world.

Days where I’ve celebrated something that probably seems ridiculously small to everyone else… but felt monumental to me.

Because that’s entrepreneurship.

It isn’t just building a business.

It’s building yourself and your community at the very same time.

Nobody really talks about this middle chapter.

The chapter between dreaming and arriving.

The chapter where you know where you’re going, but you’re not quite there yet.

The chapter where you desperately want everything to be perfect, but you’re learning that progress usually wears messy shoes.

I’ve discovered that courage doesn’t always look loud.

Sometimes courage looks like pressing “publish” while your stomach is doing somersaults.

Sometimes courage is asking for help… this is where your tribe and community play such an important role. 

Sometimes it’s admitting you don’t have all the answers.

Sometimes it’s simply showing up again tomorrow.

And perhaps that’s what Fabled Life has always been about.

Not perfection.

Stories.

Real ones.

The kind with plot twists, unexpected detours, laughter at inappropriate moments, lessons that sting a little, and victories that feel sweeter because you know what it took to get there.

So if you’re reading this while your own life feels somewhere between curtain call and chaos…
